This is a $47.4MM building project that will be a boon to our community. Tuscarawas County subcontractors will vie for this job. Over $300,000 in income taxes will flow into the City coffers. We have OSFC offering nearly $9.5MM to invest alongside us in a key community asset, too.
~ Five generations ago, in Nov 1913, they voted 4:1 to build a new high school in the wake of the March 1913 flood.
~ Three generations ago, they again voted matching funds for the WPA to build Walnut St addition – including an 1100-seat auditorium – in the worst year of the Depression for Ohioans (1938) with looming war clouds on the horizon.
~ Two generations ago, they added space to house the Baby Boom, especially athletic space – when only boys played sports.
It’s our generations’ time to invest in our community, our own property values, in our Excellent school system, in our children and in our future. The time to build new… out there… is now.
